Disposal information for batteries

Instruction according to § 18 Battery Act (BattG)

Duty to provide information in accordance with the Battery Act (BattG)

Make sure that you return your old batteries/rechargeable batteries to a municipal collection point or to your local retailer, as required by law.

Disposing of them in the normal household waste is prohibited and violates the battery law. The return is free of charge for you. You are also welcome to return batteries/battery packs purchased from us free of charge after use. Batteries/battery packs must always be returned to us with sufficient postage.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are clearly marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. Furthermore, below the symbol of the crossed-out dustbin is the chemical name of the corresponding pollutant. Examples are: (Pb) lead, (Cd) cadmium, (Hg) mercury:
